There are several definitions of what a house is. Most of them agree that a house is a space to be inhabited, but what does it mean to inhabit? What is home? And more importantly, what does a house mean to me?

It is a project approached from memory, from the immaterial. It has been developed from what remains in some part of our consciousness, vivid and clear: the memories and the words that represent them.

Throughout this work, memories and light have become a single element. This entire process has allowed me to reflect on the concept of house and home, understood not only as physical structures but as spaces imbued with meaning, affection, and memory.

While a house may be seen as a material construction, a home is configured as a symbolic, intimate place, where memories intertwine with objects, corners, and everyday experiences.

In this sense, memories function like small lights that illuminate the past and give meaning to the present. Light, beyond its physical quality, can here be understood as a metaphor for memory: faint or intense, warm or cold, but always capable of revealing. Every shadow projected on the walls becomes an extension of lived experience.
